Staring at an empty screen and not sure what to make? It happens to every Sandspiel artist! Here are ten of our favorite creations — try them all, then invent your own.
The classics
1. The Volcano. Build a stone mountain with a hole in the middle, fill it with lava, and let it erupt over the land. Add water at the bottom to create brand-new stone islands.
2. The Waterfall. Make tall stone cliffs and pour water from the top. Watch it splash down into a pool below.
3. The Secret Garden. Surround a patch of sand with stone walls, plant seeds inside, and grow a hidden flower paradise.
4. The Sandcastle. Use stone for the towers and pour sand for the walls. Classic and beautiful.
The wild experiments
5. Oil Ocean on Fire. Make a big oil lake and drop one spark of fire. Whoosh!
6. Acid Rain. Drip acid from the sky and watch it carve tunnels through your mountains.
7. Steam Machine. Trap water above lava and watch steam blast upward like a geyser.
The artistic ones
8. Layer Cake. Pour different elements in flat stripes to paint a colorful pixel landscape.
9. Rainbow Flower Field. Plant dozens of seeds and wait for every color to bloom at once.
10. Your Name in Sand. Draw your name with stone, then bury it in sand and dig it out again with acid or the eraser.
